Everything from the customer service to the beds and pillows far exceeded my expectations. one of the best hotel experiences I've had to date. Friendly people pristine rooms and great value!! Didn't see a single guest without a smile on their face. Great location close to literally everything a person could want or need and minutes away from iconic historical landmarks including the forresthill bridge which is the tallest in the entire state . Even after reading the reviews, which are all great, this place was still better than I had even hoped. Definitely a hidden Northern California gem with all the charm and hospitality of a time long gone.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—just minutes from all the sights we wanted to see, with plenty of great food and fun nearby. The added perk of 10% off at the bowling alley was a nice touch, and having the Tasty Freeze right next door was a bonus! The property itself was well-kept, peaceful, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Our room (400+) was spotless, and we truly appreciated how accommodating the staff was with our fur baby, making sure we had a room with easy access to a grassy area for her. Small details like this made our stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

The price for what we got was excellent. Three times less expensive than another hotel in the area we have used before. The heat/AC was excellent and we were very comfortable all night. The refrigerator was roomy and cold and had a freezer compartment (unlike many other places we've stayed). We loved the retro red appliances. The shower was nice, I wish mine at home looked like it. The morning desk clerk was super pleasant and friendly and gave us extra supplies when we asked. It was very quiet and clean. We have family in the area and will still here again.

This is a cute old motel that's been renovated in a fun, retro way. The beds are SUPER comfy, and it was very clean and quiet. Rooms have fridge and microwave. They have a discount agreement with a bowling place nearby for a meal, which we didn't take advantage of. The service was very nice - we had to stay at the last minute because Donner Pass was closed in a big storm. We booked at 9:30 PM and arrived at 10 PM. Tons of other people had the same idea, so the place was packed - but they helped everyone and were really nice and attentive. We'd return.

It was very clean and had a retro vibe. Our room had cute red frigidaire fridge. Microwave and keurig. Everything seemed updated. The location was great near lots of food options and freeway. The grounds were well maintained. Staff was friendly. We previously stayed accross the street at BW the only thing they had that this place didnt was breakfast and a bathtub. Gave us a reason to go to Awful Annies. Thr shower was really nice. Large size. Good water pressure. Our room also had a little semi private patio. We will return.
